„URGEWÄCHS“ - tufted wool sculpture

Something primal – a time when intuition, closeness, and physicality were central to the human experience. Here, the archaic is not romanticized but revealed as a deeply rooted quality: a reminder of what remains when the surface is pierced. The “primal growth” presents an alternative present in which softness is strength - a soft counter-world to the otherwise harsh reality. A dialogue emerges between a gentle world and the physical object. This “soft world” invites the viewer to feel an emotional connection. It serves as a reminder that gentleness, empathy, and mindfulness can be powerful forms of connection. The work draws on something primeval - not as something of the past, but as a deep memory of closeness, intuition, and the primal human. In a world of acceleration and digital conquest, it opens slow, meditative spaces.
