MEET THE LAB

ALab.Studio was founded by artist Antonio Labuhar and creates Soft Art, Soft Objects, & Soft Spaces.
Working with wool and sustainable materials, I design tactile artworks and sculptural pieces that bring warmth, character and emotion into contemporary spaces. My work is rooted in slow craftsmanship, organic forms and a deep connection to the physical world.

THE STUDIO

ALab.Studio was founded by me, Antonio Labuhar, out of a desire to create meaningful, lasting work in an increasingly digital and fast-moving world. My studio stands for a contemporary approach to art and design - one that is tactile, emotional, and deeply human.

I create Soft Art, Soft Objects, and Soft Spaces - textile-based artworks, sculptural pieces and spatial installations crafted from wool and sustainable materials. My work is rooted in slow, intentional craftsmanship and a strong appreciation for the beauty of the analog world. In contrast to fleeting digital trends, I focus on creating physical pieces that invite touch, presence, and emotional connection.

Each work is handmade and unique, shaped and inspired by organic forms, natural textures and a calm, timeless aesthetic. I believe in art that can be felt - not only seen. My pieces bring warmth, softness, and identity into spaces, transforming them into places of comfort, character and reflection.

My practice moves between art, design, and architecture. I create works that are both sculptural and functional, developing spatial concepts for private collectors, brands and interiors. Sustainability and high-quality materials are at the core of my process, challenging the disposable nature of mass production.

Through ALab.Studio, I aim to make the world a softer place — one object, one artwork and one space at a time.

Sustainability meets Art

Each of my works is crafted exclusively from organic fibers - primarily pure sheep wool, cotton, and linen. These natural materials bring warmth, texture, and authenticity to every piece.

Sheep wool, in particular, stands out for its durability, natural elasticity and self-cleaning properties. It regulates temperature, absorbs sound and retains its shape - a living, breathing material that ages gracefully with time.

By choosing wool and other organic fibers, i consciously distance my practice from synthetic, mass-produced aesthetics. Every artwork is individually handcrafted, celebrating the beauty of natural imperfection and the value of longevity over fast production.

Each commissioned piece is made to last - sustainable by nature and design.
