ORGANIC SYSTEM
E / The Organic System series is one of my most spatially expansive bodies of work to date.
Inspired by moss as both a visual and conceptual starting point, these large-scale wall-mounted wool sculptures continuously transform through changing light conditions. Throughout the day, shifting shadows and highlights alter their appearance, creating an ongoing dialogue between the work and its surroundings.
For me, moss is more than a visual reference. It represents a natural layer of soft emotions - persistent, resilient, and quietly evolving. Growing slowly and often unnoticed, it embodies a form of strength that exists without force.
With Organic System, I explore the relationship between softness and endurance, translating organic structures into tactile, sculptural surfaces. The landscape is no longer something observed from a distance; it becomes part of the interior space, inviting viewers to slow down, engage with subtle transformations, and reconsider softness not as fragility, but as a lasting and adaptive form of strength.
D / Die Serie Organic System zählt zu meinen bislang räumlich ausdrucksstärksten Werkgruppen.
Ausgehend von Moos als visuellem und konzeptionellem Ausgangspunkt entstehen großformatige Wandskulpturen aus Wolle, die sich durch wechselnde Lichtverhältnisse kontinuierlich verändern. Im Laufe des Tages wandeln sich Schatten und Lichtreflexe auf ihren Oberflächen und schaffen einen fortlaufenden Dialog zwischen Werk und Raum.
Für mich ist Moos weit mehr als eine ästhetische Referenz. Es steht für eine natürliche Schicht weicher Emotionen - beständig, widerstandsfähig und leise wachsend. In seiner langsamen und oft unbemerkten Ausbreitung verkörpert es eine Form von Stärke, die ohne Dominanz auskommt.
Mit Organic System untersuche ich das Verhältnis von Weichheit und Ausdauer und übersetze organische Strukturen in haptische, skulpturale Oberflächen. Die Landschaft wird dabei nicht länger aus der Distanz betrachtet, sondern in den Innenraum übertragen. Die Arbeiten laden dazu ein, innezuhalten, feine Veränderungen wahrzunehmen und Weichheit nicht als Fragilität, sondern als eine dauerhafte und anpassungsfähige Form von Stärke zu verstehen.
